This is, of course, not an original notion. I have a feeling it’s because there’s something in the act of typing against some declining resource (time, health, party invitations, etc.) that speaks to us in a surprisingly primal way. ![]() Even faced with the prospect of playing Oregon Trail or that game with all the minigame puzzles in it, it was still a tough call as to what we were going to play. ![]() But those typing games were always a hit, and it wasn’t just because they were thinly veiled educational products that were as close to a bonus indoor recess as we were going to get.
